Home Ranch - Sonoma Valley
Over 100 planted acres, the entire vineyard is bordered by Sonoma Creek on the western edge. The majority of the fruit is Chardonnay with a small percentage of Pinot Noir. Two blocks of Chardonnay, 11 acres total, are certified CCOF organic and the oldest current planting is a 1980 block.
Chardonnay clones include: Robert Young (17), Old Wente, Hopland, and our ‘Home’ selection (Clone 4 derivative)
Soil: Zamora Silty Clay Loam with little to no slope (0-2%)
The ranch was originally purchased by the Sangiacomo Family in 1927 and still has the original home on the property.
