Tom believes the health of the natural habitat, in and around Goldfields, is as important as the vineyard itself. Increasing the biodiversity means being supportive of the habitats that now exists as well as adding habitat, such as the hedgerow of native plants being planned, or the owl boxes that already dot the vineyard. Currently Tom and crew, along with a consulting biologists, are working on re-establishing a vernal pool and wild flower field at the edge of the vineyard.
